Day 1, 26th July: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport aboard a morning flight, we will be met and welcomed by our driver guide. From Nairobi we drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy to arrive at Sweetwaters Tented Camp in time for lunch. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the only place in Kenya where chimpanzees are found. Sweetwaters is home to orphaned chimpanzees, introduced to Kenya by the British researcher, Jane Goodall, to protect this endangered species. The Reserve has a high concentration of native animals as well, including elephant, buffalo and rhino. After lunch proceed on unlimited game drives in the Conservancy. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp – Full board
Day 2, 27th July: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Spend a full day at Ol Pejeta Conservancy with unlimited game drives and visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. All meals and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp – Full board
Day 3, 28th July: Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, drive to the semi-arid desert reserve of Samburu to arrive for lunch at your lodge. Situated in the northern hemisphere of Kenya, Samburu National Reserve is one the loveliest Reserves in terms of landscape and wildlife where we will have the chance to see rare animals such as the Grevy’s zebra, the long necked gerenuk, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe and the beisa oryx. After lunch, enjoy an extensive game drive through the reserve. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Intrepids Camp – Full board
Days 4 & 5, 29th & 30th July: Samburu National Reserve
Enjoy unlimited game drives in Samburu National Reserve with vehicles at our disposal. All meals and overnight at Samburu Intrepids Camp – Full board
Day 6, 31st July: Samburu National Reserve – Masai Mara Reserve
After breakfast, transfer to Samburu Airstrip for our scheduled flight to Mara departing at 0930hrs to arrive at 1100hrs. Met on arrival at Olkiombo Airstrip and transferred to our Camp. Spend rest of the day in Masai Mara with Camp activities including game drives in our private vehicles. All meals and overnight at Mara Bush Camp – Full board
Days 7 to 9, 1st to 3rd August: Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy unlimited game drives in Masai Mara National Reserve. We may choose to go on full day game drives and enjoy a picnic lunch out in the bush, or return to camp for lunch taking game drives morning and afternoon. A visit to a Maasai village can be planned at an additional cost that gives a glimpse of a very different way of life. All meals and overnight at Mara Bush Camp – Full board
Day 10, 4th August: Masai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi
Early morning game drive. Breakfast at the Camp. Thereafter transfer to Olkiombo Airstrip for our scheduled flight to Nairobi departing at 1100hrs to arrive at 1215hrs. On arrival at Wilson Airport transfer to your hotel, to be booked by yourselves.
Day 11, 5th August: Nairobi day tour
Today we take a tour of the highlights of Nairobi, visiting the Sheldrick Orphanage, where we get the chance to see orphaned elephants and rhinos, and the Giraffe Centre, which is a breeding centre for endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. Transfer to your hotel (booked by yourselves).
Day 12, 6th August: Flights home
This morning transfer to the airport for your international flights home.
